The Center for Economic Impacts and Societal Benefits (CEISB) is a unit within the Illinois Sustainable Technology Center that provides technical assistance and research to support sustainable behavior and practices (from the individual to the organizational/industrial scale), pollution prevention, and a circular economy in Illinois and beyond. CEISB was formerly known as the Technical Assistance Program.
We help businesses, governmental organizations, and citizens improve environmental and economic performance by analyzing trends and forecasting the latest opportunities to improve the environment.
We also identify, evaluate, and support the cost-effective implementation of processes for improving operations, reducing waste, and pursuing resilient systems (e.g., renewable energy, by-product synergy, advanced technologies, etc.). Learn more.
